MY SUNFLOWERS

Several years ago I noticed some new birds in my yard. They were very small. The male was black with a bright yellow underside & the female was a light grey that sometimes looked almost yellow. I had some large sunflowers growing near the front gate. Pulling up to the gate, I noticed one of those tiny birds on the sunflower & picking seeds out of the center. I now know these little guys to be 'lesser goldfinches' & I think I have two couples living here. I let the volunteer sunflowers come up to be food for these beautiful little birds.
His creation is amazing.

On a walk down my street, I couldn't resist taking a photo of this beautiful tree with it's branches outstretched to me.
I thought of our Saviour, the beauty of His Creation & His Words that speak of our connection to Him through salvation. Saved by His grace, we serve Him (the VINE) during this race that we run call LIFE.
Father, help me to be a strong branch, constantly aware of my life source being You ( the VINE), & let me reach out to this world that we are 'in' but not 'of'. Let my prayers avail much that I could bless others
in Your Name & for the sake of Your Kingdom.
You, alone, are worthy.

GIFT PROJECT using PINK LEMONADE BLOSSOMS

After making the Pink Lemonade Blossom cakes & letting the glaze dry,
I packed them up in a jar as a gift.

 

 

 

I purchased a medium sized cracker jar in which to place the cakes when the glaze had dried.
I used a floral gauze ribbon, a pink tag ( heart-shaped hole punch on the tag), & placed
3D butterflies on top of the lid.
(don't pack cakes too tightly in the jar)

I made the blossoms for a friend for mother's day, but the tag could be made for any occasion.
 

PINK LEMONADE BLOSSOMS

 

 

Bowl contains the glaze. Remove cakes from the pan, dip them in the glaze (hold them over the bowl for a moment to let the excess glaze run off) then place them on wax paper to 'dry'.

Dusting Hint

I have a number of fans around the house & find that cleaning the vents is a little easier with a large, soft paint brush.

My husband is a master rat builder & this beast is a testimony to that talent & skill.
This amazing car is breath-taking, especially when Tom fires the engine.
I have learned to wear earplugs so that I can 'enjoy' the adrenaline a little more when we ride.
