MY SUNFLOWERS

Several years ago I noticed some new birds in my yard. They were very small. The male was black with a bright yellow underside & the female was a light grey that sometimes looked almost yellow. I had some large sunflowers growing near the front gate. Pulling up to the gate, I noticed one of those tiny birds on the sunflower & picking seeds out of the center. I now know these little guys to be 'lesser goldfinches' & I think I have two couples living here. I let the volunteer sunflowers come up to be food for these beautiful little birds.

On a walk down my street, I couldn't resist taking a photo of this beautiful tree with it's branches outstretched to me.
I thought of our Saviour, the beauty of His Creation & His Words that speak of our connection to Him through salvation. Saved by His grace, we serve Him (the VINE) during this race that we run call LIFE.
Father, help me to be a strong branch, constantly aware of my life source being You ( the VINE), & let me reach out to this world that we are 'in' but not 'of'. Let my prayers avail much that I could bless others
in Your Name & for the sake of Your Kingdom.
You, alone, are worthy.
